Ajo Gardeners Network

The Ajo Gardeners Network, or AGN for short, is a program of the Ajo Center for Sustainable Agriculture (Ajo CSA). This program is a network of backyard gardeners and growers in and around Ajo.

Members of this free program enjoy a multitude of benefits, which include unlimited seeds and seedlings, provided by the Ajo CSA, free access to a variety of gardening and food-related workshops, tips from experienced CSA farmers, access to personal consultations by CSA staff, and an annual garden tour, visiting different gardeners around Ajo to see a variety of techniques and approaches to growing in the Sonoran Desert.

For those who like, the Gardeners Network provides sewage free compost at a subsidized price, for up to two bags. This is the same compost that the Ajo CSA uses in their own beds, used to grow for CSA shares and for market.

Between free seeds, seedlings, workshops, advice, and with access to compost for those who would like to remediate their soil, the Ajo Gardeners Network helps reduce the barriers for community members growing their own food here in and the surrounding areas of Ajo, AZ.
